Story Therapy

The wisdom of stories stands the test of centuries

Story therapy is a playful, creative self-development method: through the imagery of folk tales, literary tales and stories it helps you look at what is happening inside from the outside — so you can begin to shape it.

What happens in a story therapy process?

The story makes our inner world visible and 'tellable'. When the hero of a tale lives through our fear, loss or decision in our place, we can look at our own from a safe distance.

The process is accompanied by playful creation — colours, shapes, movement, sounds and music — and then in shared conversation we put the experiences in place. The method strengthens creativity, resilience and coping ability.

"You are the protagonist of your own story."

Story therapy does not offer ready-made answers; it helps you find your own — at the pace that feels right for you.

What the story does for us

Gives words to feelings

What is hard to say, the hero of the story lives through for us — making it easier to look at what is churning inside.

Creates a safe distance

Within the frame of the tale, even painful topics can be picked up without having to confront them directly.

Releases tension

It helps to understand and regulate emotions, reduces anxiety, and strengthens self-confidence.

Shows the next step

Through your own story you find your own authentic answers to the question of 'what next?'.
